Inovateus Solar, Portland Energy Conservation, NESCO-Needham Electric Supply

Inovateus Solar

South Bend, Ind.-based Inovateus Solar will become the North American channel partner for Scheuten Solar Products, Venlo, Netherlands. Inovateus Solar will use Scheuten panels for a variety of installations from residential to utility-scale projects.

VYCON

Los Angeles-based VYCON, the designer and manufacturer of environmentally friendly, high-speed energy storage flywheel systems, recently received a distinctive honor in the green technology sector. SmartGridNews.com, Redmond, Wash., has chosen VYCON as one of only 10 organizations nationwide as a "Smart Grid Company to Watch in 2010."

NESCO-Needham Electric Supply

Canton, Mass.-based NESCO-Needham Electric Supply, full-service electrical distributor serving electrical contractors, national retail accounts, commercial and industrial companies, and institutional accounts, recently acquired certain assets of Densmore Electrical Supply , a single branch distributor in Rutland, Vt. Densmore will join forces with the Yankee Electric Supply Rutland branch, NESCO's Vermont- and New Hampshire-based division.

Shermco Industries

Irving, Texas-based Shermco Industries, provider of rotating apparatus and electrical power system testing, commissioning, repair, maintenance, and training, recently announced the new construction and expansion of its Austin, Texas, operations. Construction of the 10,000-sq-ft service and training facility is scheduled to be complete by April 2010.

Portland Energy Conservation, Inc.

Portland Energy Conservation, Inc. (PECI), a Portland, Ore.-based energy-efficiency consulting firm, has been awarded a new contract by Energy Trust of Oregon, Portland, Ore., to develop and implement energy efficiency strategies for its New Homes and Products Program. The three-year agreement was awarded in November and is valued at $42 million.
