Eaton Corp., Lineal Recruiting Services, Encelium Technologies

  • Pittsburgh-based Eaton Corp. is supplying cruise ship Oasis of the Seas with more than 20 uninterruptible power systems (UPSs) to protect the ship's critical systems and applications. The ship features the flagship Eaton 9395 Marine UPS as well as the Eaton 9390, 9355, and 9155 Marine UPSs. Eaton also provided UPS batteries and transformers as well as PowerVision Power Management Software for system performance monitoring.

  • Trumbull, Conn.-based Lineal Recruiting Services will mark its 30th anniversary in 2010. Lineal Recruiting Services is a technical placement and recruiting firm that places electric power, electronic, electromechanical, predictive and preventative maintenance, rotating apparatus, and electrical service and systems specialists with employers nationwide.

  • Teaneck, N.J.-based Encelium Technologies has appointed Winter Park, Fla.-based SESCO Lighting as its exclusive sales agency in Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, and the Caribbean. This collaboration is part of Encelium's strategic expansion.

  • Columbus, Ohio-based Emerson Network Power recently announced that it is one of the companies collaborating with IBM to meet the rising demand for energy-efficient data center capacity. As part of the collaboration, IBM is working with Emerson Network Power to integrate its power and precision cooling products and services with IBM’s Portable Modular Data Center (PMDC).

  • The commercial division of Winter Park, Fla.-based Palmer Electric Co. has secured a $2.33 million contract with Balfour Beatty Construction LLC, London, for electrical contracting services for the new University of Central Florida Arts Complex II, Orlando, Fla. Under its scope of services, Palmer Electric is providing site and building electrical services along with fire alarm systems, structured wiring, CATV/MATV, CCTV, access control systems and lightning protection.
