· Blue Bell, Pa.-based CeeLite, commercial manufacturer of Light Emitting Capacitor (LEC) technology, has raised $4 million in private equity investment. The company’s implementation plan for the investment includes an expansion of the company’s infrastructure to meet current growth expectations, highlighted by the planned opening of a new plant in the Philadelphia metropolitan area sometime in 2008.
· Philadelphia-based Lowry Electric, Heating & Cooling recently received a top 2007 international best practices award. Lowry was selected as the highest achiever in the Nexstar Select Service recognition program. More than 400 electrical, HVAC, and plumbing contractors comprise Nexstar, a business-development and best practices organization.
· In a strategic move to further broaden the company's position in the voice, data, and video channel, Providence, R.I.-based Textron Inc.'s Greenlee business unit, Rockford, Ill., recently acquired Oilville, Va.-based Paladin Tools, a provider of tools and accessories for the telecom, datacom and wiring industries. "Strategically, this acquisition provides Greenlee with a complementary brand portfolio and an expanded product line," says Scott Hall, Greenlee president. "Paladin also gives Greenlee access to additional distribution channels in the voice, data, and video industry that will broaden our customer base for communications wiring tools."
