• Kaiser Electric, Fenton, Mo., recently announced a partnership with NetCom, Inc., Fenton, Mo. The electrical contractor expects that customers will benefit from more competitive pricing and expanded product and service offerings in communications design, installation, and service.

• The special projects division of Palmer Electric, Winter Park, Fla., has secured a nearly $1 million contract for phase II renovations at the 15-story, 231-room Lake Buena Vista Holiday Inn in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Palmer is providing electrical contracting for first-floor power and lighting including kitchen, dining room, lobby, lobby bar, fitness center, business center, grand ballroom, and convention center. Additionally, Palmer is providing systems for fire alarm, dimming, and automated building controls.

• Traxon Technologies, New York, recently announced the opening of a sales office in Los Angeles and the appointment of Rina Weinberg to be senior sales manager, West Coast Region, and Ariel Meir, director of technical sales. “Establishing a facility dedicated to serving the West Coast region from the West Coast makes a powerful statement about Traxon’s growth as well as its commitment to serve customers in the best possible way,” says Tony Carrella, Traxon USA’s president. “Further, by assigning two proven Traxon team members, Rina and Ariel, customers in this sales region can be certain of getting Traxon-quality advice, counsel and service.”
