  • Brookfield, Conn.-based Validus DC Systems, a provider of integrated DC power infrastructure for datacenters and telecommunication facilities, recently announced the closing of $10 million in a first round of venture funding led by Oak Hill Venture Partners. The new financing will be used to accelerate commercial deployments of Validus' fully integrated DC power infrastructure.
  • Orange, Conn.-based Hubbell recently acquired the Kurt Versen Co., Westwood, N.J. Kurt Versen manufactures specification-grade lighting fixtures for a full range of office, commercial, retail, government, entertainment, hospitality, and institutional applications.
  • Chicago-based Schréder Lighting USA is pioneering high-quality, performance-based street lighting using LEDs for the American specification market. The company is marketing the Schréder brand in the fields of public lighting, floodlighting, tunnel/transit lighting, and industrial and urban lighting.
