  • Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based Alliant Energy - Interstate Power and Light Co. (IP&L) recently selected Stanley Consultants, Muscatine, Iowa, as the pre-construction owner's engineer for IP&L's proposed new 600mW coal-fired generation facility. The utility plans to construct the new facility next to the existing Sutherland Generating Station in Marshalltown, Iowa.

  • New York-based Grainger has plans to expand its operations throughout the tri-state area. As part of the multi-year expansion, the company will revamp its distribution network by opening new facilities, relocating others, and expanding existing ones.

  • Lavergne, Tenn.-based Stuart C. Irby Co., has expanded its presence in the central Tennessee area. The company has moved into a new 100,00- square-foot regional distribution center and has opened four additional local service centers, called Irby Electric Express, throughout suburban Nashville.
