Rosendin Electric Promotes Fred Meeske to New Role as Corporate Director of Building Information Modeling Services
Rosendin Electric has promoted Fred Meeske to the newly created position of corporate director of building information modeling (BIM) services. In this new position, Meeske will be responsible for consolidating the company's efforts with BIM, including establishing standardized best practices across the company and working with third-party software providers.
Meeske has been with Rosendin Electric since 2007, serving as preconstruction manager, where he was responsible for a number of complex regional BIM projects, including three-dimensional modeling and design on the Maricopa County Downtown Court Tower construction project. Meeske now has responsibility for standardizing BIM practices across Rosendin Electric, working with BIM experts in each regional office and ensuring all the experts throughout the company adhere to the same best practices. He also will be responsible for overseeing relationships with general contractors to streamline exchange and application of BIM data for construction contracts, and working with leading BIM and project management software vendors to develop new integration strategies to improve design/build efficiency.
"Rosendin Electric has been making a concerted effort to take the lead in technological innovation in the construction field, and Fred has exhibited unparalleled skill and passion for construction design automation," said Tom Sorley, chairman and CEO of Rosendin Electric. "We created this new position to allow Fred to share his expertise and passion across the company, consolidating BIM best practices and opening up new relationships and strategies that will continue to keep Rosendin Electric ahead of its design/build competitors."
Before joining Rosendin Electric in 2007, Meeske worked with a number of top electrical contractors. He holds a degree in electronic engineering technology from DeVry Institute of Technology.
