Q. Can I install conductors from different panels in the same raceway?

A. Power conductors can occupy the same raceway, cable, or enclosure if all conductors have an insulation voltage rating not less than the maximum circuit voltage [300.3(C)(1)]. However, the life safety branch and critical branch of the emergency system must not enter the same raceways, boxes, or cabinets with each other or other wiring. In addition, all wiring to emergency loads must be kept entirely independent of all other wiring, except as permitted in 700.9(B).
