  • Owings, Md.-based ComRent International recently opened its Gulf Coast location. The Houston branch is ComRent's second Texas office and ninth overall location.


  • Chandler, Ariz.-based Engenuity Systems, distributor of intelligent networked control components, and Bellevue, Wash.-based Lagotek Corp. recently signed an agreement to distribute Lagotek's wireless Home Intelligence Platform (HIP). The agreement between the two organizations gives Lagotek access to more than 800 dealers already affiliated with Engenuity.


  • ConstructJob, Toronto-based Accubid’s Web-based project management system for contractors, was recently honored with the IEC’s Innovative Product of the Year award for 2006 in the software category. Only one product in each category received this award, which was determined by a vote of attendees at the recent IEC National Conference & Expo in Denver.
