New Online Service Makes Ordering Easier

GE Supply customers can place and track orders instantly over the Internet with GE Supply Net, the electrical distribution industry's first real-time Internet ordering system. Easily accessed from GE Supply's Web site (www.ge.com/supply), GE Supply Net enables customers to place product orders from GE and more than 200 other manufacturers using real-time data on product availability and customer-specific pricing.

The online ordering system gives customers real-time access to inventory availability throughout the entire GE Supply Warehouse Network. It enables customers to use the warehouse network as if it were their own, thus reducing the amount of inventory they would have to stock at their own location.

Material ordered through the online system can either be picked up the same day at the local GE supply stocking branch, or delivered to a customer-specified location the following business day. GE Supply Net is also linked to the GE Supply Online Catalog. The Online Catalog has more than 100,000 items and images, and includes basic technical information.

GE Supply's online system offers customers additional benefits, including extended hours of operation, customer-defined part number lookup and ordering, quick order status review, easy invoice and credit lookup, and simple quote creation and modification.
