Electric 2001 to Showcase Cutting Edge Technology

Where can you meet new suppliers, test new products, network with colleagues, and learn what it takes to work better, faster, and more profitably? Held June 24-27 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., the 16th Annual International Electrical Exposition & Conference will offer something for every electrical professional. Whether you're looking for the latest technology, industry developments, new business and networking opportunities, or new product introductions, Electric 2001 will help you compete and succeed in the electrical market. Owned and managed by Intertec Exhibitions, and sponsored by EC&M, CEE, EW, PQA, and Lighting Dimensions magazines, this conference offers the latest information on the National Electric Code, power quality, e-business strategies, management techniques, lighting methodology, design/build construction, harmonics, utility deregulation, security systems, and telecommunications and data installations.

In addition to seminars and workshops, the show will feature a special voice/data/signal pavilion. This “show within a show” will explore the latest developments in telecommunications, security systems, and voice/data/video. Low-voltage applications are now the fastest growing segment of business for electrical contractors and installers, so this is an event you can't afford to miss. Contractors must be familiar with this equipment and technology to take on these new opportunities. Based on data from the most recent Electric shows, 58% of attendees have worked on or are currently working on voice/data/signal projects. Another 26% are looking into this type of work.

Another drawing force to this year's show is the keynote address: “Stress Management: Succeeding Under Pressure in our Fast-Paced World,” by Pat Rummerfield. The award-winning amateur athlete/race car driver will describe his 20-yr road back from paralysis in a car crash that included the achievement of such high-reaching goals as graduating from medical school, competing in the Ironman Triathlon, and setting the world land speed record in an electric car. Open to all attendees and free, Rummerfield's address will provide advice on confronting challenges in a positive way and lead you toward long-term success in your job and personal life.

This year, you can maximize your show experience by attending the concurrent Electric Show Conference, where the industry's leading authorities will address the most challenging issues facing today's electrical professional. Don't miss out on all of the benefits Electric 2001 has to offer.
