Interactive Exhibit Designed to Grow Lighting Control Sales
In a move to grow the market for lighting controls and lighting fixtures, Lutron Electronics, Coopersburg, Pa., launches the Ultimate Home Theater Experience exhibit at Epcot, in the Walt Disney World Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
The 2,700-sq-ft display brings together the products of more than 20 other partnering companies, including Halo track lighting, Iris architectural downlighting, Lumiere step lighting, and fiber-optic lighting from Cooper Lighting, Elk Grove Village, Ill.
Demonstrations in two 15-seat residential rooms show visitors the possibilities for their own home theater, a growing $10.64 billion market. A recent national survey by the firm indicates that home theaters topped greenhouses and home fitness centers as the most-popular home improvement project. The exhibit layout helps guests see the similarities between home theater and the magic of show business, and the practicality of transforming a family room into an entertainment retreat.
