I have a room 13' by 11' with a ceiling height of 7'6" what would be the spacing.

Three? Just kidding.

Do you have the model number of the fixture and the part number of the lamp you propose to use?
What is the intended use of the room?
Are there existing or proposed obstructions in the ceiling plan that might effect the layout?
Is there any additional lighting in the space otherwise?

It's questions like this that need answered before any lighting layout can be proposed.

As MD has indicated, there are numerous things that need to be taken into consideration when performing lighting design.

But if you are looking for a down and dirty answer, I will give you the following. Assuming the room is rectangular with no obstructions and the luminaires can be placed anywhere, I have found the typical luminaire has a Spacing To Mounting-Height ratio (SMH) in the range 0.9 to 1.4. Based on that and the room dimensions, I would say 4 units on 8-ft centers. But that is a big SWAG and does not guarantee sufficient illumination in the space.

Kgh60, Did you ever get your answer? I would be happy to offer any information I can if you provide a little bit more detail with the question!
