Hello!  New here, but long time pro-member of HVACtalk.

We have been approached by a company called LineLossPro, who claims that by installing their "device" on our electrical panels, we will realize a 20-35% SAVINGS on our energy usage.  Sounds fishy to me.....but I'm wondering if anyone here has ever heard of them.

Thanks in advance, and, as a career electrician, look forward to contributing to the forums!

Manufacturer's technical data states: "The device was tested and certified by Metlabs in October 2008, under UL 916 standards and guidelines for safety. Certification included CSA C22.2 testing." But I could not find where they say it is UL Listed and Labeled.

They also do not tell you exactly what components are installed in the product. The description sounds like some kind of harmonic filter, but they say there are no capacitors or resistors in the design.

Eliminating harmonic distortion on the distribution system i good for power quality, but you are not going to achieve any meaningful energy savings.

In my OPINION this is one of those products that technically do what they say it does, just not to the extent to justify the purchase and installation cost.
