What traits do you look for when hiring a new service technician?

Neat and clean in appearance.
Well spoken and polite.
Technically competent.
Of good enough character such that there's a reasonable expectation the person will show up when scheduled, not steal, etc.
Clean driver's license.
Ideally, clean criminal history.

I'm not sure these people exist, but that's the list. You're doing good if you can hit most of them in the same person. Find a person that hits them all and pay them in gold.

We still exist with the same honorable ethics we were taught at an early age, but because we were only promised gold (and many other things), we are now poor, disillusioned, somewhat bitter and near retirement age. Too old to be even considered by a new age employer despite still possessing old school attributes.
