NEC 310. 5 C: Identifying counductors by phase is only possible for MC conductors by using tape or other means. MC is not manufactured in red, blue 12/2, or  orange/yellow 12/3

Refer to 210.5(C) - Any color ungrounded conductor can be re-phased with any color (leaving whites and greens out of this) except to comply with 110.15. Phasing ungrounded conductors can happen with any size conductor (unlike 200.6 and 250.119. For grounded and grounds). By the way, SSHADE is correct see "AFC cable systems".

This is actually not 100% correct. Encore Wire Corporation does produce MC Cable in a variety of interior colors. In fact, none of our offerings in MC Cable is just all black conductors with a green EGC unless you specifically ask for that to be produced.
