Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. (Griffin Electric) has completed the electrical installation work at the new Chatham Police Station and Town Hall Annex, Chatham, Mass. These new, two-story, state-of-the-art buildings — one 18,000-sq-ft and one 20,000-sq-ft — are the solution to previously outdated and overcrowded facilities. The updated Town Hall Annex accommodates the Community Development, Health and Environment, Coastal Resources, Conservation and Planning departments for the town of Chatham, Mass.
The Griffin Electric team was responsible for exterior site work, including, primary, secondary, and low- tension duct banks, in addition to manhole and handhole work.Other electrical installations included a raceway system, secondary distribution equipment, and seismic restraints. Additionally, the team installed systems for fire notification and prevention, uninterruptable and emergency power, and lightning protection, as well as, the interior and exterior lighting and automated lighting controls.
Consigli Construction Co., Inc., Milford, Mass., served as the project’s construction manager, while Jacunski Hume Architects, LLC, Berlin, Conn., was the architect, and Garcia, Galuska & DeSousa Consulting Engineers, Inc., Dartmouth, Mass., was the electrical engineer.
