Bigger Decreases in Industrial Manufacturing Predicted for Second Quarter 2008
Although overall spending on construction projects in the industrial manufacturing industry has been on a downward slope, the decline has not been as significant as many analysts predicted, says a recent survey from Industrial Info Resources, Sugar Land, Texas. However, the first large decrease in spending within the industry is expected to take place in the second quarter of 2008. Whether that decline will continue into subsequent quarters is not yet known.
According to Industrial Info Resources, the recession the nation is entering will cause an unavoidable contraction for spending on industrial manufacturing construction projects. However, there is hope that significant spending will still occur, causing a swift end to the recession.
