KBR Selected for Design/Construction of Warehouse, Office, and Distribution Center for SYSCO Boston LLC

KBR's Building Group will design and construct the new 632,767 square foot food distribution facility, including the architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical elements

Houston-based KBR recently announced that its Building Group has been selected by SYSCO Corp. for the design and construction of a new warehouse, office, and distribution center for SYSCO Boston LLC in Plympton, Mass. The Building Group will design and construct the new 632,767 square foot food distribution facility, including the architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical elements. The building will feature: freezer, cooler, and refrigerated dock space; a dry warehouse; dry dock; office space; a truck maintenance and fueling facility; and related site improvements. This win marks the Building Group’s seventh project of its kind with SYSCO.

“Our extensive experience with cold storage/distribution facilities, combined with our design-build track record on multiple SYSCO projects led to the Building Group’s selection,” says Mac Carpenter, Building Group senior VP. “We are pleased to continue our work with SYSCO and look forward to helping our client to further expand its business.”
