Cerritos, Calif.-based VYCON, Inc. recently partnered with Virtua Health, N.J., to install a VDC140 flywheel energy storage system in the facility’s data center. Performance of the system is monitored remotely from VYCON’s offices in California.

Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) detect loss of utility power and command the onsite generator sets to start automatically during power outages.
