San Francisco-based URS Corp. has been awarded a task order to provide design and construction services for communications upgrades and electrical distribution systems at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in California. The task order was awarded under the Global Multiple Award Construction (GMAC) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract, which URS secured in July 2009.

“URS has a long history of supporting the military on major engineering and construction projects around the world," says Gary V. Jandegian, president, infrastructure and environment for URS. "We are proud to have been selected for this assignment and to continue to play a role in ensuring that our marines and sailors have facilities, communications and other infrastructure necessary to complete their missions successfully.”
