Shell WindEnergy plans to construct wind farm

In a joint venture with Padoma Wind Power, Shell WindEnergy, Inc. will build a wind farm at a site 90 miles southeast of Lubbock, Texas. The wind farm will consist of 160 Mitsubishi MWT 1,000A wind turbines, some of which will stand 226 ft tall and weigh more than 370,000 lb.
