NEMA reports surge in shipments of lighting products

The first-quarter 2006 National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Lighting Systems Index recently reported gains in domestic shipments of nonresidential products – emergency lighting, fixtures, and fluorescent ballasts

The first-quarter 2006 National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Lighting Systems Index recently reported gains in domestic shipments of nonresidential products – emergency lighting, fixtures, and fluorescent ballasts — which fueled the 7.2% increase over fourth-quarter 2005. In spite of a slowdown in the residential market, the increase marks the second-best first quarter since NEMA started the Index in 1998
