The Internet is becoming a common business tool for contractors in the United States, according to a new survey conducted by the Associated General Contractors of America. Almost half of the 15,000 contractors polled use the Internet, and 63% use online plan distribution. The Internet is becoming a common business tool for contractors in the United States, according to a new survey conducted by the Associated General Contractors of America. Almost half of the 15,000 contractors polled use the Internet, and 63% use online plan distribution.

Proving that the Web is for more than just the distribution and dissemination of information, the survey also revealed that 52% of respondents collaborate on projects with other contractors via the Internet.
