LaCrosse, Wis.-based Michaels Energy is pleased to announce the opening of its branch office in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Michaels continues to expand its portfolio of energy efficiency services for investor-owned and municipal utilities and their customers. Services provided include ASHRAE Level II energy assessments, retro-commissioning and system upgrade/replacement studies for commercial and industrial customers, program development and marketing, and impact evaluation. Essentially, all phases of energy efficiency programs primarily for large commercial and industrial segments.

Consistent with its commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, Michaels has carefully chosen a beautiful three-story, 100-year-old facility with a completely refurbished office space. The space features large windows providing plenty of daylight and connection with the outdoors, high ceilings, new indirect lighting with low power density, and use of existing 90%-plus efficient heating.

The office is currently staffed with David Werner, M.S., Iowa State University, and our newest team member, Brian A'Hearn, B.S., Iowa State University.

An open house is planned for next month.
