Megger was fast and enthusiastic in its response when the North American Wind Research and Training Center at Mesalands Community College, Tucumcari, N.M., expressed a desire to promote wind energy and education. Demonstrating its keen interest in providing the best possible education for the upcoming generation of engineers, Megger not only arranged for David Danner, the company’s sales manager for U.S. distribution, to assist in training sessions, but also provided the college with a range of instruments for use by the students.

The instruments supplied by Megger include insulation, ground and circuit-breaker testers, and a special blade repair test lead kit for checking the condition of the lightning protection provisions in the blades of wind turbines. These products will help the college to provide clear explanations and demonstrations of real-life testing procedures, which will be of great practical value to the students later in their careers.
