MDV-SEIA has established an agreement with the Independent Electrical Contractors Association Chesapeake Chapter (IECC)

MDV-SEIA has established an agreement with the Independent Electrical Contractors Association Chesapeake Chapter (IECC). Under this partnership, MDV-SEIA members will receive discounted fee for membership and be able to receive member discounted pricing on all continuing education courses, including the NABCEP Solar PV and Solar Thermal Classes.

This partnership is especially valuable considering the Maryland Energy Administration recently updated regulations to require that solar installation companies obtain NABCEP certification prior to obtaining MEA grants. MDV-SEIA affiliate pricing is designed so members will easily recoup the cost of membership through savings in the training program.

While training was the primary driver for MDV-SEIA to partner with IECC, there are several other benefits of IECC membership:

  • Credit union membership
  • FedEx program
  • STAPLES Business Advantage program
  • Home Depot discount program
  • Enterprise fleet services
  • Fuel savings

The partnership also provides members greater access to continuing education and code panels, such as the State Apprenticeship Councils in Virginia and Maryland, and will bolster our government affairs relations.
