The Third Taxing District Electrical Department is seeking an individual for the position of General Manager. This career opening offers a geat opportunity for a highly motivated individual. The applicant must have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. A degree in Electrical Engineering would be a plus. The applicant should have at least five years experience in substation or transmission design, and five years of managerial experience.

The applicant will have strong communicative skills, excellent writing skills, and basic budgeting skills.

The Third Taxing District (TTD) Electrical Department's headquarters is located in an excellent waterfront area in Norwalk, CT in southwestern Fairfield County. TTD owns and maintains a retail transmission grid serving nearly 4,000 residential and commercial customers and belongs to a six-city wholesale power consortium from which it buys its electricity.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general oversight and supervision of clerical, metering, substation and transmission line departments; the formulation of detailed budget estimates and schedules; and the ability to manage, evaluate, train and develop departmental employees.
