Ennis Electric Co. Announces Staffing Changes

Jonathan Mitz named president of the company

John A. Ennis Jr., principal owner and CEO of Ennis Electric Co., Manassas, Va. recently announced that effective March 21, Jonathan Mitz was named president of Ennis. Jonathan Mitz succeeds William K. Swab Jr., who retired after more than 35 years with the company.

Ennis also announced that Kevin R. Cole has been promoted to executive VP of business development. In addition, Stephen B. Blankenship was named VP of administrative operations. Ben Musgrove, an Ennis VP, succeeds Ennis as director of field operations.

Mitz has 30 years of construction experience for large general contractors. His background includes many high-profile construction projects in Washington, D.C. As President, Mitz provides corporate leadership of company activities.

Cole joined Ennis in 1991 as an apprentice electrician and advanced to project management and oversight of estimating and design-build functions. He was named VP in 2006. As executive VP, Cole will continue to oversee Pre-Construction Services. In addition, he will assume leadership of Business Development.

Blankenship joined Ennis in 1998 as an apprentice electrician. After a brief period during which he ran his family’s business, Blankenship ¬advanced to project manager and then project executive. As VP, Blankenship will oversee all aspects of project management.

Musgrove has over 30 years of experience in the electrical industry. He joined Ennis in 1977 as an apprentice electrician, became a project manager in 1991, and was promoted to VP in 2006. He is highly valued for his expertise in the electrical craft.
