Energy Efficiency Program for Escalators Being Implemented at Denver International Airport

Espoo, Finland-based KONE Inc. will install EcoStart controllers on escalators and moving walkways at Denver International Airport. The controllers soft start electric motors, bringing them from rest to full speed. Once these motors are at full speed, the controllers monitor the motors and improves their efficiency.

EcoStart is manufactured by Power Efficiency Corp., Las Vegas, for KONE under private label.
