In a strategic move to propel energy management and building performance strategies, Acuity Brands, Inc. has acquired for cash Winona, Minn.-based Winona Lighting, Inc., a premier provider of architectural and high-performance indoor and outdoor lighting products. Winona Lighting will continue operations in its existing facility focusing on key customers and competencies.
Generac Power Systems
Waukesha, Wis.-based Generac Power Systems and Honeywell have reached an agreement under which Generac will be the exclusive licensee of Honeywell branded portable and standby generators through 2015. The Honeywell brand is well regarded throughout distribution and consumer markets and provides Generac the opportunity to expand distribution channels by raising category awareness and increasing residential consumer access to automatic standby generators.
Faith Technologies
Tulsa, Okla.-based Builders & Contractors (ABC) of Oklahoma recently named Faith Technologies as a 2010 Excellence in Construction winner for their work on the ONEOK Field - Tulsa Drillers Stadium. The full-service electrical and technology systems contractor was recognized at the ABC Excellence in Construction Awards Banquet on October 14.
