Albuquerque, N.M.-based NICOR is proud to announce its newest division, NICOR Solar, which offers a full selection of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules. NICOR Solar offers products that will assist electrical distributors in their own environmental stewardship goals and is a firm believer in offering a sufficient means of harnessing nature’s energy in a sustainable manner.

Schneider Electric

Schneider Electric recently announced the creation of a team dedicated to the green buildings segment. This organization is focused on holistic solutions that address customer needs for high-performance green buildings, including building retrofits and construction of new buildings.

GCL Solar Energy, Inc. (GCL)

Santa Monica, Calif.-based SolarReserve announced a joint venture with San Francisco-based GCL Solar Energy, Inc. (GCL) to develop, build, and operate solar photovoltaic (PV) facilities in the United States. The joint venture, GCL-SR Solar Energy, LLC, holds more than 1,100MW of PV development projects in its portfolio, primarily in the 5MW to 20MW size range proposed on 40 different sites secured across the United States. The joint venture expects to start construction on up to 400MW of PV projects in the near term.
