EMCOR, Superior Tradesmen, GE Fanuc
  • Norwalk, Conn.-based EMCOR Group has been awarded the contract to install the hardware and software for an automated traffic surveillance and control (ATSAC) system in the Hyde Park West section of Los Angeles. EMCOR subsidiary Dynalectric will install video surveillance cameras, loop detectors for vehicle traffic, video and data communication equipment, a new communication hub building, and more than 6.5 miles of underground conduits and fiber-optic cables.
  • Wilmington, Mass.-based construction staffing firm Superior Trademen experienced a 20% growth in revenue in 2007. Led by Robert M. Boudros, CEO and chairman, the company has announced plans to broaden its reach to the west coast and Carolinas.
  • GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms, Charlottesville, Va., and MTL Instruments Group, Luton, U.K., recently signed an agreement for GE Fanuc to acquire the assets of the MTL Open Systems Technology (MOST) product lines including the MTL8000 general purpose I/O, intrinsically safe I/O, SafetyNet system, and process control technologies. According to GE Fanuc, the acquisition of MOST demonstrates its commitment to process customers and solutions.
