Dayton, Ohio-based Matrix Systems and Sarasota, Fla.-based Clearsite Communications have partnered to provide state-of-the-art wireless access control options for value-engineering remote outdoor security at aviation, education, healthcare, government, industrial, and other commercial sites with expansive acreage. The partnership enables Matrix to provide wireless access control and video surveillance, as well as a video analytics platform to its already comprehensive lineup of turnkey security system solutions

Winter Park, Fla.-based Palmer Electric Co. has completed contracts totaling $2.9 million for the renovation of the Lake Buena Vista Holiday Inn located in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Palmer Electric provided site and building electrical as well as systems for fire alarm, dimming, sound and card access.
Thomas & Betts Corp.
Memphis, Tenn.-based Thomas & Betts Corp. has agreed to acquire PMA AG, Uster, Switzerland. PMA manufactures high-quality polyamide resin-based flexible conduit and fittings used in a broad variety of industrial applications to protect energy and data cables from external forces such as vibration, heat, fire, cold and tensile stress.
