  • Florida’s Polk County Public Schools recently awarded Terry's Electric, Inc., Orlando, Fla., a $2.9 million electrical contract for a new multimillion-dollar AA middle school in Poinciana, Fla. M.M. Parrish Construction Co. is general contractor for the 195,000-square-foot project, which is slated for completion in July 2007.

  • Border States Supply Chain Solutions (BSE) recently recognized Manchester, N.H.-based FCI-USA, Inc. as 2005 Supplier of the Year. The award was given to the company for BSE’s northeast and southwest regions based on work ethic, profit growth, training programs, market development, and technical support.

  • Effective June 1, Memphis, Tenn.-based Ellers, Oakley, Chester & Rike, Inc. (EOCR) — a subsidiary of Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR), Nashville, Tenn. — has changed its name to SSR Ellers, Inc. The company believes the new identity more accurately reflects EOCR's relationship with SSR.
