- Jesco LED Lighting Solutions is the new name for the LED product division of Jesco Lighting Group, Glendale, N.Y. Formerly known as Colormotion, the division will continue its focus on development of RGB- and DMX-controlled LED products, as well as incorporate new standard and custom specification-grade fixture lines.
- Atlanta-based Home Depot recently sold its HD Supply segment for $10.3 billion to a group of private equity firms and will use the net proceeds and other funds to buy back company stock. The segment is the second-largest distributor of construction, industrial, and maintenance supplies in North America and had more than $12 billion in revenue in 2006.
- Winter Park, Fla.-based Palmer Electric Co. has secured a $990,000 contract with Jack Jennings & Sons, Inc., general contractor, for the new hospice in the two-story, 36,710-square-foot Comforter building under construction on Montgomery Road in Altamonte Springs, Fla. The Palmer team is providing electrical contracting services that include wiring, fire alarm, and communications systems for the project.
