Winter Park, Fla.-based Palmer Electric Co. recently opened a residential division office in Jacksonville, Fla. Palmer established the 1,500-square-foot office/warehouse facility to provide electrical wiring services to North Florida homebuilders.

  • Metal Systems, Chattanooga, Tenn., and MSI Equipment Centers, Houston, are now rebranded as Lectrus. “As we build awareness of our company with end users and engineers working on projects around the world, it is important they recognize and can easily contact our company,” says Deron Austin, marketing director for Lectrus. “Lectrus is simple and professional, which gives us a uniform corporate name as we pursue acquisitions and expand our products and services.”

  • Langhorne, Pa.-based E-Mon recently moved its administrative, manufacturing, and support operations to a new, larger facility near its former location. With the exception of the new headquarters' street address, all contact information remains the same, including that for E-Mon's west coast sales and technical support facility in San Diego.

  • In 2009, Garden City, N.Y.-based WAC Lighting is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The company is a manufacturer and designer of track, recessed, undercabinet, monorail, and decorative lighting.

  • Dallas-based Balfour Beatty Construction recently acquired RT Dooley Construction Co., Charlotte, N.C. for an undisclosed sum. Because of the complementary nature of the companies’ businesses, no staff cuts are planned. According to the company, RT Dooley will remain at its current location, operating under its own leadership team with relative autonomy.
