Baltimore-based architecture firm RTKL Associates recently acquired Strategic Facilities Inc. (SFI), Sussex, N.J. SFI and its principals, including majority owner David DiQuinzio, have become part of RTKL’s Baltimore-based Applied Technology Group.

  • Mineola, N.Y.-based Clear Skies Solar recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Badger Creek Development, Beverly Hills, Calif., for the design and construction of a 2.1MW solar farm to be located in Badger, Calif. The project, which is expected to exceed $8 million, is now in the initial design and engineering stages and will be structured as a utility Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

  • Fenton, Mo.-based Kaiser Electric was recently awarded a contract to wire a new $15 million assisted-living facility under construction in Godfrey, Ill. The electrical contractor is providing all electrical installation in the facility, including power and lighting, an emergency generator, fire alarm system, security-card access system, CCTV and CATV systems, voice/data installation, nurse call system, and wireless Internet system installation for all tenants.

  • Austin, Texas-based Active Power recently announced results for its fourth quarter and fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2008. Revenue for the fourth quarter was a record $16.2 million, a 30% increase from the third quarter and an increase of 59% from the fourth quarter in 2007. For the year ended Dec. 31, 2008, revenue was $43.0 million compared to $33.6 million in 2007, an increase of 28% for the year.

  • Racine, Wis.-based Case Construction Equipment recently announced a supplier agreement with True Value Co., Chicago. The agreement enables more than 1,000 True Value Rental, Taylor Rental, Just Ask Rental, and Grand Rental Station locations across the United States to purchase Case construction equipment for their rental locations.
