Minneapolis-based Honeywell has acquired E-Mon, LLC. The acquisition will enable Honeywell to offer a more complete energy efficiency portfolio to a broader customer base and strengthens its offerings in support of the smart grid.

Carrollton, Ga.-based Southwire Co. has purchased Tappan Wire & Cable Inc., Blauvelt, N.Y. The addition of telecommunications and electronic cables solidifies Southwire’s position as an industry-leading manufacturer of portable cord products, while also adding to Southwire’s ability to offer differentiated, custom products that provide value-added benefits to end users.

PowerSecure International, Inc.

PowerSecure International, Inc. has established a partnership with Schneider Electric to bring PowerSecure's Interactive Distributed Generation (IDG) smart grid power systems to hospitals. Under the terms of this new partnership, Schneider Electric will offer hospitals across North America PowerSecure's IDG power systems.
