Ascent Solar Commences CIGS Production from Its Littleton Production Line

Ascent Solar Technologies, developer of s thin-film solar modules, has successfully begun regular production of monolithically integrated flexible copper indium gallium diselenide (CIGS) modules from its production line in Littleton, Colorado.

Ascent Solar Technologies, developer of s thin-film solar modules, has successfully begun regular production of monolithically integrated flexible copper indium gallium diselenide (CIGS) modules from its production line in Littleton, Colorado. This milestone makes Ascent Solar the first company to commence production of fully integrated lightweight thin-film CIGS modules using a plastic substrate.

The company initially plans to operate the manufacturing line with one shift, progressing to full-scale 1.5MW -rated capacity using three manufacturing shifts per day.
