Active Power receives order from business-to-business express delivery services

Austin, Texas-based Active Power, Inc. recently announced an order from TNT Express ICS, Amsterdam, for a 1650kVA turnkey power system that includes UPS, generator, switchgear, and related components, services, and installation. The system will be shipped and installed in Q2 and will be used to provide increased power protection for TNT Express ICS’s Worldwide Data Centre in Atherstone, Warwickshire, U.K.

The power modules will be incorporated into a containerized plant room that will house specialized equipment for increasing power availability, redundant UPS, cooling, and controls together with Active Power’s GenSTART technology, which provides redundant starting power for the generator.
