Arc hazard assessment software
ArcPro arc hazard assessment software is designed to aid in the selection of protective clothing by defining the arc hazard for workers who may be accidentally exposed to electrical arcs. The software provides users with calculations, including heat exposure, total heat flux, and heat energy on a surface, at various distances from an electric arc. Users can then specify clothing that will withstand the level of predicted arc hazards.
The J1000 AC drive requires 70% less space than traditional AC drives, according to the company. Available from ⅛ hp to 7.5 hp, voltage classes include 200-240V single-phase, 200-240V 3-phase, and 380-480V 3-phase — all of which are 50/60 Hz. Additional product features include open loop V/f control with a speed range of 40-to-1, normal (120% overload for 60 sec) and heavy-duty (150% overload for 60 sec) ratings, starting torque of 150% at 3 Hz, 5-digit LED keypad, increased vibration resistance from 20 Hz to 50 Hz, and a swing PWM function to decrease audible motor noise.
The GS6-CXRE downlight features 16 LEDs with efficacy of up to 93 lumens per watt and with a 50,000-hr service life, according to the company. In addition, the luminaire's 1½-in. LED spacing and heavy-duty heat sinks maintain junction temperatures below 75°C at 25°C ambient. Other product features include drivers and a printed circuit board that are accessible from below the fixture, a quick disconnect plug, optional dimming drivers, and an 18-gauge steel housing. Mercury-free, the product is UL-listed for indoor applications, damp locations, and insulation contact.
These combination insulated tools are designed for both metric and standard applications. Tested to 10,000VAC and rated for 1,000VAC maximum exposure, the tools meet or exceed ASTM F1505-01 and IEC 900 Standards for Insulated Hand Tools. In addition to being impact-resistant and flame-retardant, the product's 2-colored insulation material allows users to know if the tool is no longer properly insulated.
Lightvault in-grade uplight CFLs use low-heat compact fluorescent technology to reduce the temperature of the lens to as low as 50°C, making them suitable for walk-over locations and high-traffic pedestrian areas. Available in 26W, 32W, and 42W models, the product is available with a bronze or composite housing. In addition, the lens gasket is constructed from one-piece molded silicon with U-channel that wraps completely around the lens flange. Other product features include an anti-siphon barrier on wiring to and from the splice compartment, a reverse draft housing to prevent uplifting, and cast bronze or stainless steel lens rings.
The Square D 8501KA Series alternating relay is designed as a direct replacement for competitive alternating plug-in relays used to control multiple loads. Available with several contact and voltage configurations, these socket-compatible products have a top-mounted toggle switch to select the alternating mode applicable to the system. When used with the mating Square D socket, the relays have a UL-listed approval status.
UL489 DC miniature molded-case circuit breakers are rated at 125V (1 pole) and 250V (2 to 4 poles) up to 63A. With a width of 17.5 mm per pole, the breakers enable service entrance, feeder, or branch circuit protection and disconnect function. In addition, the product design allows for DIN-rail mounting and features a positive trip indicator and a short-circuit interrupt capacity of 10kA. Available accessories include auxiliary switch, shunt trip, and undervoltage trip. Custom breakers can be developed for specific user application requirements.
