    Berk-Tek/Ortronics Form Alliance
    Based in New Holland, Pa., Berk-Tek, an Alcatel company, and Ortronics, New London, Conn., recently formed a global technology and marketing alliance to further advance their enhanced copper and fiber cabling solutions through a high-capacity, clear data transmission system called NetClear. This ultimate end-to-end structured cabling system delivers optimized enhanced copper and fiber cabling solutions to the global market and emphasizes maximum channel capacity. NetClear comprehensive bandwidth solutions incorporate all horizontal and backbone products, which includes high-performance interface cords, work station outlets, cross-connect panels and enhanced frequency horizontal and backbone cables.

    RF Industries Expands National Distribution
    RF Industries, Ltd., San Diego, recently signed a national distribution agreement with Tampa, Florida-based REPTRON Electronics Inc., a $350 million annual distributor of electronic components, to distribute its RF connector Division’s full line of coaxial and cable products. RFI’s connector division manufactures, distributes, and designs radio frequency (RF) coaxial connectors used in personal communication systems (PCS), radio communications, test instruments, PC LANs, as well as antenna devices.
