The National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED), St. Louis, recently joined forces with other construction organizations — led by Arlington, Va.-based Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) and Atlanta-based Construction Owners Association of America (COAA) — in support of ConsensusDOCS, which includes more than 70 contracts and forms and addresses all project delivery methods. As a result of NAED's membership, its members can purchase contracts and forms at a special, discounted price available on the ConsensusDOCS Web site.

"The first step to making the construction channel more efficient is to have better communication and more collaboration among its various participants,” says Tom Naber, president of NAED. "[This] is our opportunity to sit down with manufacturers, contractors, and others contributing to the program and produce documents that are understandable and reasonable for all the parties in the construction process."

For more information on ConsensusDOCS or how to purchase contracts at the NAED member rate, contact Molly Clear at [email protected].
