Washington, D.C.-based American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE), a nonprofit research group, recently selected 90 of America’s leading energy-efficiency programs in 20 different categories for recognition. The programs were selected as part of a national review of outstanding programs offered by utilities and other organizations that help customers reduce energy use through improved energy efficiency.

Programs selected for this honor were judged especially noteworthy for their effectiveness and innovation in helping customers achieve greater levels of energy efficiency in their homes and business facilities. The program categories cover the full range of customer types and technologies, from residential lighting to industrial processes. Among the honorees were the Northeast Energy Star Lighting and Appliance Initiative, the MassSAVE Program, Ohio Energy Office’s Electric Partnership Program High Use Program, and Pacific Gas & Electric’s Energy Partners. The full listing of programs can be found on ACEEE’s Web site.
