What should I use for splicing wires in in the motor. Because I used wirenuts and inspector said is wrong but he did not say what is good for connection.

My question is in relation to fire pumps which have already been "commissioned." Based upon existing code (NFPA 20 - 2010 Edition) there are certain items which we have identifed as being required to be fixed or replaced. The site is fighting back saying that the system was commissioned that way and what we are saying is a deficiency is acutally a recommendation due to the fact that someone somewhere commission the fire pump and associated trim as is. Any thoughts?

Does all conduit in a isolated fire pump room have to be imc? The line side of the controller is in imc. Can i feed the jockey pump with emt condiut?
