Griffin Electric Nears Completion of Armed Forces Reserve Center Projects

Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. (Griffin Electric), an electrical contractor headquartered in Holliston, Mass., is nearing the completion of electrical installations at two Armed Forces Reserve Center projects located in Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Alexandria, Ala.
In Tuscaloosa, new construction will result in a 71,000-sq-ft training center, 13,000-sq-ft vehicle maintenance shop, and 1,200-sq-ft storage area. The Griffin Electric team is installing several systems on-site, including interior power distribution, lightning protection, CATV distribution, radio, and public address. In addition, the company is responsible for the interior fire alarm and mass notification installation. Also included in the installation work is an underground electrical distribution system and exterior telecommunications system. Switchboards, switchgear, and interior/exterior lighting are also included in the electrical contract.
The Pelham Range project in Alexandria, Ala., consists of a 32,000-sq-ft two-story facility.

Griffin Electric is providing temporary power and lighting on-site, as well as electrical and telecommunications service. Other systems being installed by the company include lightning protection, access control, fire alarm/mass notification, intercom, emergency power, and photovoltaic.
