Rosendin Electric Team Continues to Have an Impact in Oregon With Multiple Community Projects
Rosendin Electric recently teamed with Eoff Electric Supply, Facebook, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 280 to rewire the Prineville Rodeo Arena, Prineville, Ore., in preparation for this year’s Crooked River Roundup and Horse Race. This is the latest in a series of community service projects that the local electricians have undertaken to give back to the Prineville community.
The collaborative effort to rewire the Prineville Rodeo grounds included new lighting for the common areas, horse arena, and the food court. Facebook donated more than $15,000 to purchase the lights. Materials were also donated by Eoff Electric Supply and IBEW 280 and Rosendin Electric provided the labor for installation.
Rosendin Electric, which has a regional office in Hillsboro, Ore., has been working in Prineville for the past 18 months on a Facebook data center construction project. During that time, the Rosendin Electric team has donated their spare time to assist with a number of community service projects including assisting with the installation of new wiring for the local high school drama department dressing room.
More recently, Rosendin Electric electricians joined with Eoff Electric Supply, Facebook, and AT&T to light the American flag at the AT&T cellular tower that marks the entrance to Prineville. The 30-by-50-foot flag is now illuminated by six lights installed by Rosendin Electric, allowing it to be displayed both day and night. Rosendin Electric is also a proud sponsor of the summer Picnic in the Park events, where the community is invited to gather and listen to live music in a picnic atmosphere.
“As an employee-owned company, Rosendin Electric has always made an effort to support the local community,” said Steve Lawhead, preconstruction services manager for Rosendin Electric. “Since we have become part of the Prineville community, it has been our privilege to lend our support to the school, the Prineville Planning Commission, and now the local rodeo. We expect to be working in the area for some time to come, and we will continue to help our neighbors wherever we can.”
