Cupertino Electric's John Curcio Unveils Secrets to Optimizing Utility-Scale PV Projects to Get to Levelized Cost of Energy at Energy Conference
Engineering and construction services company Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) recently announced that its Chief Commercial Officer John Curcio is revealing how to optimize utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) projects for Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) at the second annual Utility Scale PV Plant Optimization conference in San Jose, Calif. Coming from a unique engineering/procurement/construction (EPC) contractor perspective, Curcio will be illustrating how an iterative optimization process benefits developers and owners using real-world models.
“Regardless of solar system size, every owner and developer seeks a solution that maximizes the amount of energy produced for the lowest cost, otherwise known as the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE),” said Cupertino Electric COO Curcio. “Getting to LCOE, however, is a time-intensive process that requires multiple iterations comparing engineering, project cost modeling and project energy modeling data. With the right technical knowledge and experience, accelerating LCOE optimization is possible in utility-scale solar projects.”
Focused on the design, engineering and operation of utility-scale PV plants, the optimization conference features leading developers, contractors, utilities and technology suppliers interested in technical solutions for plant optimization.
