The future of BIM and Lighting Design will be the followings:
1) The integration of lighting calculations per room per floor, meaning clients should be able to visualize the footcandle of each room on the floor.
2) The easy replacement of lighting fixtures during Value Engineering and/or construction.
3) The integration of lighting control system into the BIM model specially for theatrical lighting systems into to efficiently provide the electrical power required without guessing the percentage utilization of fixtures & systems.
4) The provision for selectable code requirements to give more flexibility to projects and their LEED goals.
